Behind the Zin Senfter Residence is a family with a vision – and a great deal of passion This is not just about hospitality, but a way of life: to create things with care, to preserve values, and to shape a place that touches people.
Every decision, every idea, every detail bears the signature of this family – and that is exactly what makes the Zin Senfter Residence so special.
- Franz Senfter had the foresight to see the potential for something extraordinary in a seemingly ordinary place. Where there used to be just a car park, he saw a meeting place that would enrich San Candido.
- Gerda Senfter turned this vision into her personal labour of love. With her fine sense of style, quality and atmosphere, she gave the Residence her unmistakable signature. Every detail bears her signature, every choice of fabric, every picture is deliberately chosen – for an ambience that radiates warmth and security.
- Irene Senfter was deeply connected to the Residence from the very beginning. She shaped the place with her philosophy, led it with passion and commitment for over ten years and made it what it is today: a place where guests are not strangers, but feel at home from the very first moment.
- Helmuth Senfter continues this story. As head of Franz GmbH, he is responsible for providing new impetus. Speaking of new impulses: the new Zin Park Residence (from autumn 2025) is another gem in San Candido that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity.
- Sigrid Senfter on the other hand, devotes himself with great dedication to the Brandlhof in San Candido. A place that stands for quality, regionality and a deep connection to the homeland. Here, what is valuable is preserved – with an eye for the authentic and a passion that can be felt.
A house truly comes to life through the people who fill it with warmth and heartfelt hospitality. In the Zin Senfter Residence in addition to the Senfter family, a strong team looks after the well-being of the guests. There are Alessandra and Irene who have been there since the beginning. They welcome guests with open arms and take care of everything that makes a holiday special – with all their heart. Every morning, Edeltraud ensures a delightful start to the day, while Silvia, with great attention to detail, makes sure our guests feel completely at ease in their rooms And then there are Maggie, Barbara, Edona, Elga and Fitore – a strong team who, with joy and dedication, make sure that guests lack nothing.
Where the Zin Senfter Residence now surrounds the Senfter Platzl, there was once nothing more than a car park. An unused area that had none of the vitality it radiates today.
With its opening in 2011, an idea became reality: four farmhouses in Tyrolean style, connected by bridges, in perfect harmony with the village and its history. The Senfter Platzl became the heart of it all – a meeting place that changes with the seasons.

In winter Bright Nordmann firs, snow-covered alleys, a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The interiors also tell stories. Gerda Senfter sensitively selected fabrics, colours and materials that complement each other perfectly. The photographs by Sepp Hackhofer bring nature into the house, while the hand-painted designs by Ingrid Canins give each bed a unique touch.
